It feels like Salah, while correct in many ways with what he said, has tried to put the club a position where they need to choose between himself or Slot, and that he's forgotten about the third option, that both could leave the club sooner than anticipated. That said, it's incredibly difficult to know what to think when we're missing so many of the details. As always, very good read, always enjoy the weekly newsletter 👍

Having followed the game for quite a few years now, it is always impressive how success makes everything seem perfect whilst defeats can feel like nothing works. The Salah situation has amplified those feelings and made recovery all the much harder. In the long run, the feeling is that neither Salah nor Slot have a future at the club. Even if, ironically, with his outburst Salah might just have extended Slot's life-span at the club.

It’s fair to say both Slot and Salah are in the wrong. Not playing Salah in recent games is criminal (even despite his form), though other players share the blame for poor form. Still, I haven’t seen Mo act so unprofessionally, throwing the manager and club under the bus. No easy solution. Either one goes, or both, and I’d rather it was the manager…
